The Distinguished Professor will also be expected to provide exemplary leadership and outreach for the department’s highly successful actuarial program, maintain and develop industry contacts, and adequately prepare graduates for membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) or Society of Actuaries (SOA). The length of the probationary period, normally seven years, may be reduced for the exceptional candidate.
