The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Davis invites applications for one Assistant Professor (tenure-track) faculty position starting July 1, 2020. This position is open to any area of mathematics.

The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Davis has seen a continued increase in the size and scope of its research, graduate and undergraduate programs in recent years. We are committed to enhancing excellence in all areas. Currently we have 42 permanent faculty and 8 Krener Assistant Professors. We also host approximately 115 graduate students and 400 undergraduate majors. Our Department has had great success in garnering outside support for faculty research.
We have a supportive environment in the Department for the development of junior faculty. Eleven faculty members initially appointed as assistant professors have gone on to become Guggenheim, Sloan, or von Humboldt Research Fellows.
