Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) Pure Math/Differential Equations Department of Mathematics
Teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses as needed, depending on area of specialization
Conduct research to support professional development growth and acquiring grants
Serve on departmental, college, and university committees
Advise mathematics majors
Ph.D. or ABD (Ph.D. by August 2017) in Mathematics with a specialization in Differential Equations, Analysis, or a related field. Priority will be given to candidates with a specialization in Differential Equations, broadly defined. (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university)
Demonstrated record of successful teaching and research
Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the University community
Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities

Departmental Information: The Department of Mathematics includes 24 full-time faculty members. The Department offers B.S. degrees with options in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Mathematics Education and Pure Mathematics. The Department also has a small graduate program leading to a Master of Natural Science – Mathematics degree.
