The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Converse College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics, to begin August 2017. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will be expected to teach pre-calculus, calculus courses, and upper level courses in mathematics. Additional responsibilities include contributing to college's general education program, advising students, further developing the mathematics major, continued professional development, and providing service to the department, college, and community.
Converse College is a private, women's liberal arts college with an enrollment of ~ 1,250 traditional and non-traditional undergraduate and co-ed graduate students. The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science strives to provide a rich and rigorous course of study in mathematics, computer science, and their applications. The department offers degrees in mathematics and a minor in computer science.
